Chicago Unzipped
A different kind of guide book for young urbanites.
About
A 300-page guidebook, founded in 2006 by a group of Northwestern University students, Chicago Unzipped (CU) originally offered reviews of more than 1,400 restaurants, stores, bars, and other establishments. When CU lost its funding, the editorial staff decided to move the entire publication online, asking me to serve as the new Creative Director. I am currently overseeing the creative and technical transition of the book to web.
For the first step in the process, I redesigned the logo to evoke the sophisticated, hyper-minimal look that will characterize the new CU.
